About St. John the Theologian
St. John the Theologian was one of the Twelve Holy Apostles of Our Lord Jesus Christ, and is the author of one of the Four Holy Gospels and the Book of Revelations. This great Saint was present at some of the most important events in Our Lord's life on earth as a human; He witnessed the fearful Holy Transfiguration of The Lord on Mt. Tabor, he sat right next to The Lord during the Last Supper and leaned against His chest, he was the only Disciple who was present during the Crucifixion of The Lord, he was entrusted by The Lord with the care of his Mother Our Most Holy Theotokos, and he was one of the first to witness The Lord's Resurrection at the Tomb. He lived over 100 years. May Our Lord Jesus Christ have mercy on us the sinners through the intercessions of St. John. Amen.
